Math is your best friend

As kids, we learn in school that math is a subject. As we get more and mroe exposure to this subject every year, we are subliminally taught to detest anything that has to do with numbers. Math becomes a hateful thing, something you have to avoid.

When I entered the workforce, I was still of the same frame of mind. I veered away from anything that had numbers on it - costs, statistics, revenue. This led to the near extinction of my childhood savings, and I realized...

I needed to face Math and welcome it into my life.

That probably sounds very preposterous to you, but this is something we need to come to terms with. Everything we deal with requires some sort of Math - paying your cab fare, trying losing weight, even the time you wake up! Math is very integral to our current way of living.

However, we don't really need to go into complicated Math formulae and the like to survive. All we need are the basics - Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.
